I produced and animated these 2 short films during my final year at university and each one was done independently. The first one was my end of year film which was a character and effects reel made to show off my skills in 2D character and effects animation. The idea behind it was to show a few short scenes with each one depicting a character with some sort of magical power. It enabled me to explore a range of different character designs as well as different effects such as fire, water and smoke. These skills are very useful in the animation industry so I wanted to show off what I could do within a given time frame. The second short film was a explainer video I made on impact events. The brief for the project was to produce a documentary type film using any form of animation. I chose to do it using 2D frame by frame animation as that it was I was specialised in at the time. After conducting a research into the subject, I worked on all parts of production including storyboarding, animating and also sourcing voice actor. Both of these projects were made in Clip Studio.
